When I connect my hardware to the Jennic flash programmer it shows the MAC address (64-bit IEEE Address) is 0xffffffffffffffff.

If your hardware contains a Jennic module then it will have been programmed with a MAC address during manufacture. If the flash programmer is reading the MAC address as 0xffffffffffffffff then it must have been corrupted during a previous programming cycle (possibly because the power supply was removed during programming). Please see application note JN-AN-1066-MAC-Addr-ZigBee-License for details of how to rectify this problem.

If you are using JN51xx devices directly (not modules) then you will need to program your hardware with a MAC address. Please see application note JN-AN-1066-MAC-Addr-ZigBee-License for details of how to obtain both MAC addresses and the required programming tool.
