JN-AN-1066 Obtaining and Installing MAC Addresses and ZigBee Licenses

This Application Note describes how to obtain MAC addresses and ZigBee (2004) licenses. It then explains how to program these values into the Jennic JN51xx wireless microcontroller using the JN51xx Flash Programmer provided with the Jennic SDKs or using the ZigBee (2004) specific License Installer utility provided in this Application Note’s ZIP package.
 

A ZigBee license is required when running the ZigBee (2004) networking stack, which is only supported on the JN5139 and JN5121 devices. This can only be programmed using the License Installer provided with this Application Note, which also programs a corresponding MAC address.
