Choosing a network protocol stack
We offer a selection of network protocol stacks to support the wireless connectivity requirements of your application. These include JenNet, JenNet-IP and ZigBee PRO, which are provided as a set of software libraries that are used during the development process. All are built on the industry-standard IEEE802.15.4 protocol.
The choice of stack depends on the size and complexity of your proposed network, as well as your own software development skills. You can develop your application directly on top of IEEE802.15.4, but this will require well-developed programming skills for all but the simplest of networks. A stack layer such as JenNet, JenNet-IP or ZigBee PRO can be inserted between the application and IEEE802.15.4 layer to facilitate a simplified and streamlined approach to application development.
