Choosing a network protocol stack...
Jennic offers a selection of network protocol stacks to support the wireless connectivity requirements of your application. These are provided as a set of software libraries that are used during the development process.
The choice of stack depends on the size and complexity of your proposed network, as well as your own software development skills. All are built on the industry-standard IEEE802.15.4 protocol and you can develop your application directly on top of this, although this will require well-developed programming skills for all but the simplest of networks. Alternatively a stack layer such as JenNet, ZigBee or 6LoWPAN can be inserted between the application and IEEE802.15.4 layer, facilitating a simplified and streamlined approach to applications development.
