4: ZigBee Applications > Application Endpoints Application EndpointsThis page recaps the concept of an application instance as an endpoint. From a network point-of-view, each application instance running on a node is a unique network entity where messages can originate and terminate. This entity is termed an endpoint. Each node can have 240 user endpoints, numbered 1 to 240, the endpoint addresses. A particular endpoint in the network is identified by means of the network address of the host node and its endpoint address on the node.
